“defining identity” explores how people define who they are, and how they consider their own identity as well as others. This project started from the lens of self-ethnography pinpointing what I feel has shaped my own sense of self, and overall, what makes people who they are. I invited members of my community to leave me with responses when asked “what makes you, you?” I used these responses to inform my research and selected some for use in my final installation. My final install is a series of screen-prints of digitally manipulated images and written word.
